How to use vga hdmi adapter
- To start using a male hdmi adapter for our female vga, what we need to do first is connect the vga cable you have to its corresponding vga port.
- Once we have connected the VGA cable to the appropriate port for it, we can use the other end to connect our converter, let’s see how connecting the end to our converter is very simple.
- Once we have connected the VGA cable to the converter on our TV, we program the input for the VGA input.
- We then connect the video converter to the hdmi port of our notebook or device and this way we can see that our converter works perfectly and transmits the video signal from our notebook to the TV screen.
If we also want to transfer the audio signal from our notebook to a TV or monitor screen we must use the HDMI2VGA-7 model (see below) as this is the model that brings the mini plus cable to connect the audio output

Does exactly what it’s supposed to do. We purchased this to connect a laptop to an additional monitor. It takes advantage of the laptop’s HDMI out port, and connect it to an older monitor with a (blue) VGA port.
Keep in mind – HDMI is digital and VGA is analog signal. You can connect digital out to analog, but not vice versa. You would need some sort of converter for that.
